The gas spring for height adjustment is placed within a five-legged base, which makes the chair very stable, and also means that you can adjust the height steplessly.     Moving a grand piano is quite a task and unless it is done very carefully, can cause damage to the piano. For example, a leg could get caught on an uneven floor or the grate of a heating duct and come crashing to the floor, breaking the legs as well as the piano. If you insist on moving a grand piano without a truck, you will need 3 to 5 strong people to gather around its circumference and lift while moving. Don't actually try to lift it off the floor; just relieve the strain on the legs of the piano.
