Moving a grand piano is quite a task and unless it is done very carefully, can cause damage to the piano. For example, a leg could get caught on an uneven floor or the grate of a heating duct and come crashing to the floor, breaking the legs as well as the piano. If you insist on moving a grand piano without a truck, you will need 3 to 5 strong people to gather around its circumference and lift while moving. Don't actually try to lift it off the floor; just relieve the strain on the legs of the piano.

Note: To guarantee fit, please indicate make and model of the piano, and height to the nearest centimetre or inch. Many digital pianos have an extendable pedal support located under the pedal console, this should be correctly engaged before the piano is used, and raised before moving the piano.
